With artworks represented in many private and public collections in Australia, Italy, Spain, Japan, the USA and Canada, Salvatori's ceramic sculptures exude an ageless quality through their eroded and weathered look. They appear as if from centuries ago, or from the future. Human activity from histories not our own are created with each piece, presenting the viewer with questions of purpose.
Salvatori holds a BA (Visual Arts) with distinction, ANU Canberra, and a Dip. Ed. (Art and Craft), Deakin University. He has exhibited locally and internationally, and has successfully represented Australia in the prestigious Faenza International ceramics competition, held in Italy in 1994.
